After this PechaKucha “20 x 20” presentation in front of a room full of architects, designers, artists, creatives, friends and relatives, a couple of people approached me to share that they finally understood what we do here at Solstice.  Where this particular project is definitely outside the norm (even for us!), it does incorporate the ancient techniques and theories that should apply to every new or old work of stained glass: top notch craftsmanship, materials of the highest quality, and reversibility, as we consider the eventual need for restoration.

The presentation format of PechaKucha allows only twenty slides, and each slide is allotted twenty seconds on screen; that’s a lot of information to relay about a very complex project in less than seven minutes!

The client, Congregation B’Nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim, is a very warm and welcoming group of people.  If you are interested in viewing the “Tree of Life” in person, please contact us at Solstice and we will put you in touch with BJBE to coordinate a visit.
